ABOUT MONICE
Monice is a WGA award winning screenwriter, author, playwright, poet, filmmaker, podcaster, EP-Showrunner, Producer Guild of America Diversity alum, and journalist, who has interviewed some of the world’s greatest storytellers, including Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, Hollywood director Gina Prince Bythewood and President Barack Obama.
Recently, Monice won a Telly Award as the writer, executive producer and showrunner for the 10-episode docuseries, “Discovering West Africa with World Wide Nate,” for The Great Courses Plus (formerly Wondrium.) And she has written, produced and directed the films, “Carmin’s Choice” and “Rain” for Showtime.
Monice has also penned seven books, including her children’s tale, “Nana’s Fridge,” and her historical fiction novel, “Address: House of Corrections,” is also a fan favorite audio drama on Apple scripted podcasts.
Monice has been a storyteller since she was seven-years-old. She lives with her loving husband in California, and she adores French fries.
